- Entry fee since September 2026: AED 10 for tourists, AED 5 for Emirates ID holders, AED 8 per visitor entering with a tour operator.
- Free entry: worshippers, visitors over 60, children under 3, people of determination. Free 30-45 min cultural tours (11:00, 13:00, 17:00; Friday 11:00 and 17:00; English and Arabic).
- Visitors need an online access pass from szgmc.gov.ae (bookable up to one month ahead) or register on site. Worshippers need no pass.
- Hours: Saturday-Thursday 09:00-20:30 (last entry 20:00). Friday 09:00-11:30 and 14:30-20:30. Older sources saying 22:00 are out of date.
- Ramadan hours: first 20 days 09:00-18:00 and 21:30-01:00; last 10 days 09:00-18:00 (Friday from 14:30). Ramadan 2027 expected from about 8 February 2027.
- Dress code: loose ankle-length clothing for all; women wrist-length sleeves and full hair cover; men full-length trousers, no sleeveless tops; nothing tight or transparent.
- No food inside, no smoking anywhere on the grounds, personal photos allowed, professional filming needs a permit. Shoes off in the prayer hall.
- Visitor entry: Al Salam Gate 6; parking in the southern lots. About 130 km (about 1.5 hours) from Dubai by road.
- The mosque: built 1996-2007, 82 domes, four minarets of about 107 m, capacity over 40,000, main hall carpet about 5,700 m2, seven chandeliers. Sheikh Zayed is buried on the grounds.
